Thanks for your answer, the touchscreen problem got away, It seems that this only occurs when I turn off-turn on the tablet, The rooted was successful, I’ve installed some aplications already and everything is OK, Maybe you can help me I’m looking for some educational apps (but I need that the apps do not requiere Internet due to is very dificult to get a wifi here in Cuba, the same reason of why I haven’t upgrade to 1.9.23), do you happen to konw any site or something that I could be usefull for me????

You have to upgrade first to 1.9.23. I remember it was really a prerequisite. It is most probably the reason why the ‘root’ is not effective. I also used to have a previous version and was not able to patch the tablet either. Notice that the most recent version will possibly not be compatible anymore with the patch to root the device ?! I didn’t have to patch again my tablet since this post.

However, it’s weird that your you experience the touchscreen calibration bug with TWRP 2.2.2.1. I remember it was nightmare to select the right menu. I was lucky to finally click the right menu and be able to proceed further. If you don’t succeed to do so yourself, the XDA-developers forum is the best place to get advice IMO.

The explanation from Fuhu is: “We have a delayed boot-up process that matches most smartphones and tablets’ boot up behavior. In some instances, it may feel longer than 8 seconds”.

Once the WiFi disabled, the switch was set to Off (under “Settings” > “Wireless & Networks” > “Wi-Fi”) and the device didn’t let me put it back the “On” position.

This is a well known issue and there is a fix from Fuhu to solve it. As soon as I have a few free hours, I will try to go back to stock, apply the fix and reinstall the GAPPS.
