That being said I doubt that Synology wanted to change how it; why would they not support restoring a backup from DSM 5.0 on 5.1?! This would be a big issue for many people IMO. I would therefore suggest you to open a ticket at Synology and ask why you don’t see your backup. It’s maybe a bug in the 5.1 beta ?!

Just to be sure: using the File Explorer, you can see your backup files in the Shared Folder NetBackup of your DS114, isn’t ?

I tried exactly the same but I’m not able to restore on the destination DS, There is no local backup to be found, I have a source DS110j with DSM 5.0 and destination DS114 with DSM 5.1 bèta, could that be the problem?
