My daughter’s tablet was stuck in the “Unfortunately Google Search stopped working” + no keyboard bug, so there was no access to Mommy Mode to disable the google app. You post was the easiest to follow to get me running TWRP 2.8.5.0 on the Nabi2, which helped me to fix the problem via its file manager utility (by deleting the com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox folder from data/data).
